Learning, Listening and Building Trust: Chief Inspector Jones Visits Stratford Mosque

Dear all, 

On 20/09/2026, I had the privilege of attending the Visit My Mosque initiative at Stratford Islamic Association,E15 in Stratford. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about the Islamic faith, gain a deeper understanding of the traditions and values that are important to the local Muslim community, and engage in open and meaningful conversations.

Events such as these play an important role in strengthening relationships between the police and the diverse communities we are proud to serve. They help build trust, break down barriers, and foster greater understanding of one another’s experiences and perspectives.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved for their warm welcome and hospitality. The opportunity to listen, learn and share experiences reinforces the importance of community engagement and highlights the strength that diversity brings to our neighbourhoods. Together, we continue to build safer, stronger and more connected communities.
